The Aave protocol has its own crypto called AAVE and its open source, Peer to Peer, and they are eliminating the need for third parties such as banks. Users can either earn interest by depositing funds into the service or borrow funds deposited by other users into the service.

Their solution was founded in London on May 1, 2017, by Stani Kulechov, an experienced crypto entrepreneur. Initially, the project was known as ETHLend, which they changed in 2018 to AAVE. They started as an ICO, launched in November 2017, allowing a fundraising of 16 million dollars.

AAVE is currently the world’s most popular decentralized peer-to-peer loan service and with the huge growth that is (hopefully) about to come in the market, granting loans in the form of cryptocurrencies to its users makes AAVE very attractive to investors. You can easily increase your investment capacity.

I think AAVE  is close to provide users even more diverse services than traditional banks. 5 stars.

Aave was the first Peer-to-Peer lending protocol if I recall, and despite that compared to Compound and other P2P lending available on CEX such as binance, Aave differentiate itself for having perpetual lending mechanism. For example, on Binance you can borrow USDT using ETH as collateral but for a maximum of 6 months at which point you have to repay the loan. Aave enables users to borrow indefinitely as long as they maintain a good health score which is based on the value of the collateral across time. While the loan is active, you only need to pay back interest which is deducted automatically, which overtime erode your health score. Price fluctuations of the collateral also influence the health score at any given point in time. Overall, P2P lending enables advanced DeFi strategy to generate yield which is very beneficial to increase returns on investment. More importantly, with the periodic massive bear market happening to the crypto industry, P2P lending enables participants to prevent selling crypto-assets at the worst possible time in the hope the market recovers and head into another bull market.
