Wiz Khalifa's X account hacked to promote memecoin scam

• Rapper Wiz Khalifa's X account was hacked on November 3rd, with the hackers using the account to promote a scam memecoin called "WIZ." The memecoin quickly gained value, reaching a peak valuation of $3.4 million within 15 minutes of launch, but then crashed to below $28,000 as early holders sold their tokens.

• The hackers behind the scam are believed to be the same ones who hacked Truth Terminal developer Andy Ayrey's account on October 29th. They used Ayrey's account to shill a series of fraudulent memecoins, netting them a total profit of $1.5 million.

• The posts promoting the WIZ memecoin have since been deleted, but no further posts have been made to clarify whether or not control of Khalifa's account has been restored. Show Less
