Why I Just Invested in CatDog at $9M MC
High-Level: 💵 High Risk = High Reward 💵 Be Greedy When Others Are Fearful
In full disclosure, I already made about a 2.5x on $CatDog and had completely exited my previous position, but I just got back in, and here is my thought process…
While there is a lot of FUD about the project, I’m a bit of a contrarian, so I’m going to focus on a few important aspects of the project that I don’t see anyone talking about.
Details: 1️⃣ CatDog has entered a relationship with GotBit (Market Maker), and while they have been associated with other rug pulls…
- They are concerned with their reputation and do not want to continually compromise it with scam projects.
- They will most likely only get paid in the future. It is common for MMs to take a strike-option to buy tokens at today’s price in the future when they have raised the price 20x to 50x or more.
- GotBit has spread the liquidity from a single DEX to multiple DEXs and, most importantly, multiple CEXs, which leads me to my next point.
2️⃣ CatDog token is on multiple CEXs (MEXC, Bitget, Gate.io, Xt.com, ConiEx, BingX). This makes me feel more secure for a couple of reasons…
- Increased Scrutiny: CEXs often have listing processes that might include due diligence or at least some form of vetting. While not foolproof, this can deter or delay rug pulls because developers might need to provide more transparency or meet certain criteria before listing.
- Liquidity and Market Impact: Tokens listed on multiple CEXs typically have higher liquidity. Rugging such tokens would require manipulating a larger market cap, which could be more noticeable and might trigger quicker reactions from exchanges or regulatory bodies.
3️⃣ Lastly, and this could be pure BS, but they are planning to do a $1M buyback and BURN on the 29th, and they have even shared the wallet holding $1M (https://t.co/HgmC4d5xRu).
👉 I’m giving this a 40% chance of a rug – 60% chance of moon.
