I had to do a bit of digging to find out who is behind the Cirus team because there is nothing about the team listed in the whitepaper or anywhere else that's transparent. From what I can tell, there are two main players - Michael Luckhoo and Daniel Bland.

Michael's Linkedin profile states that he has been in Web3 since 20198, holding predominantly operational and business development roles. He started off as Head of Business Development for Torus Solutions, a blockchain accelerator, supporting early projects with marketing and strategy. He then worked as the Chief Strategy Officer for Fusechain Inc. and then as VP Operations for DigitalBits, referred to as the "blockchain for brands" on their website.

Daniel Bland, on the other hand, seems to have no Web3 experience, but does own an Ad-tech and Big Data company called Cubera which does exactly what Cirus is trying to accomplish by allowing people to download an app or obtain a router (which will track the whole family's browsing history) and pay them a bit in return. However, looking into the Cubera app, I can see it's not available in my area (the UK) so I don't know how successful this concept has been thus far. Cubera's website's footer states "coming soon, a gateway to Web3" which one can only assume is referring to Cirus.

These two together, in collaboration presumably with a tech team, probably have the knowledge and experience to pull off what they are trying to accomplish, but having no knowledge of the track record of Cubera's app usage or router uptake means I can't be confident in how well the team will be able to run and promote the project widely enough for it to do well in the long run.
