Edu3lab: Great Mission with Mediocre Delivery
Edu3lab has a great mission with mediocre delivery, a Skillshare-type project with WEB 3 components encapsulating four segments simultaneously.
Strategic Failure
At least, based on my experience, one has to develop one well-polished product or service before releasing a new one.
Yet, in the case of Edu3lab, I see four products rolled out, making it, strictly speaking, a bit harder to grasp the value and benefits of the platform, given that the platform can be used both by B2B or B2C.
Brand Story
I am addicted to stories backed by personal cases rather than facts and trends. A brand has to have the presence of soul, promise, and hope. In the case of Edu3lab, I feel like it is missing.
NFE Marketplace
A Skillshare/Coursera-type approach but using NFTs has several issues. Teacher quality verification and reviews, in most cases, didn't look/sound legit or trustworthy after checking five teachers.
User experience needs to be significantly improved (assuming this is a beta); more changes are expected to come.
Business Model
There are 15 monetization options, and should the team fail to get the community of enthusiasts to use the platform, I have a bad feeling that with the current UX/UI, the team must be willing to utilize at least one of the 15 described revenue sources. I have not seen any strong case or rather a compelling story to attract creators and students.
Social Media
The first impression is good, with Q/A on Discord as well as Telegram. Twitter is all about partnerships and some giveaways. YouTube is primarily in the Turkish language. What is missing, in my view, is a genuine connection, stories, founding team AMAs, or teachers or students that may have learned something or could potentially learn. That would make more sense and most likely be a promising move to get more users.
After all, raising 900K is not easy, and it would be a total disaster to misuse the capital. Show Less
