Yesterday, CryptoBass wrote an insightful reflection on the past and present of Airdrops. Today, iiJJGii posted about the Artyfact airdrop. So now is a perfect time to jump in and share airdrop reviews to help you, dear reader, with the task of avoiding scams and finding the signals in the noise. 👂

Today, on X, a content creator whose posts I trust mentioned that frame.xyz had just announced an airdrop, along with a link. In the past, I would’ve immediately clicked and connected my wallet. These days, I wait to see if legit accounts have successfully claimed their tokens. You don’t want to end up like this guy, who tried to claim FRAME tokens and got phish-drained of 100 ETH.

FRAME seems cool. They had me at “royalties.” Website: bright colors, very Gen Z, much wow. It’s an ETH Layer 2 (wait, hear me out…) carving out a niche to be NFT-based. Like Zora but with smoother UX and DAO features like staking and governance. I got 50 FRAME for previous wallet activity, which tracks NFT trading and holding on Ethereum over the last two years.

Now, the fun part: waiting until the mainnet launch, token claim and listing in January, when we find out how much these tokens are worth. 💰 Show Less
