I'm excited to say this my 100th post

A crypto influencer asked her audience on X, 'how long do you think Friendtech will be cool for?' The first answer that garnered the most likes was 'until just after the airdrop.'

Friendtech took in over $1 million in fees (costs are 5% for each transaction) in the past 24 hours but the app is glitchy and the whole thing is still a house of cards - held up shakily by speculation and hype.

Many users on X are reporting struggling with ETH showing up their wallets sent over the Base network. This makes me reluctant to actually sent any ETH myself, lest it gets lost in a black hole. I've downloaded the app and will keep an eye on the progress and might take the leap if I can be convinced. I would first like to see the UX and features working more seamlessly, however.

This isn't the first project that has delved into these areas and none of them are still in existence which makes me think Friendtech won't be sustainable long term. In my opinion, there will be a lot of well known influencers who do really well (they always do really well) and a much larger number of people who will put a lot of ETH and effort into this for nothing.
