A solid effort which is better late than never… The New Lattice 2.0!

The new Lattice 2.0 was recently released, and it was about time. All joking aside, I can understand the delay due to the fact that the DEX is designed to service the Constellation ecosystem, which has also been delayed. Not making excuses for them, just pointing out the likely reason.

I give this update a rating of FOUR Stars based on the following:

• A new Decentralized Governance program where users can suggest proposals and vote on platform changes is a fantastic addition and adds value to the ecosystem.

• However, the program is powered by a new veLTX token which cannot be traded; it can only be minted and earned through staking and locking LTX from 6 months to 3 years.

• I feel giving rewards in veLTX is a bad move, and I would prefer rewards in the native LTX, so users can stake earned rewards for more veLTX or sell or hodl the LTX.

• The feature of Cross Chain Swap is a great addition, but it is currently only a gap filler. Constellation partnered with Exolix, an aggregator of centralized exchanges, to provide this MVP solution. At the end of the day, Lattice still does not have its own (in-house) functional Cross Chain Swap.

• The updates in the node management area are more of a facelift than rolling out new features.

• The Bonding & Liquidity features look very promising, but until there is a true native DEX and projects needing to use these features, I will reserve judgment and score this neutral.

Overall, the Lattice is becoming a full web3 gateway for the Constellation ecosystem, and 2.0 is a great step forward, but there is still work to be done.
