There are over 100 Layer 1 blockchains. Each of these chains has had huge growth in applications within their own ecosystem, but the isolation between these ecosystems has been a key limit to adoption.
Until now, if you wanted to move coins from one chain to another one, you'd need to either use a CEX, DEX or a bridge. Then there is an inherent need to trust the third party to execute the transaction successfully. I have personally experienced lags with bridges, broken transactions, high fees (an they are vulnerable to hacks).
LayerZero solves this problem by allowing messages to be sent between blockchains, cheaply and securely. With a list of 24 supported blockchains and developing on LayerZero as straightforward as implementing the send() and lzReceive() interfaces and your app, I see no reason why this technology won't be fully used and adopted by all. It seems the dream of true interoperability is finally going to be realised and I will be following this project very closely. Show Less
