I was curious about how MagiScan works as a 3D scanner on mobile, as well as their product. However, is there a crypto angle for this project? I can't tell if it is targeting a metaverse angle (probably is), but currently the project looks like a traditional 3D scanner. Hopefully they will release and launch their roadmap or tokenisation process for premium access.
The product seems like it works, and it's based on the number of available scans, more can be bought, and each account starts with 3 free scans. There are a number of available options of scan modes (img3), and I went along with the 360 compass mode. They provide a tutorial (unskippable) on how to do the scanning, different for each mode, which is great for someone that has no experience with it.
The upload took around 10 minutes, however processing takes another 42 hours, which is incredibly long (img2). Everything seems to be pushing towards getting their 'premium', which is annoying but understandable.
