This looks very promising. I like how they are focusing on augmented reality (AR) instead of virtual reality (VR).
Projects like Decentraland are cool, but I feel that there will always be a limit to how real VR environments can be. Blending the real world and the virtual world via AR seems like a much better model.
What I really like about this project is that you can buy "land" and potentially create amazing AR experiences at places that are already popular. So a company may already own a famous place, but you can create another layer of experience at that place, for a very low cost. The interest in this project is also pretty high, based on the number of social media followers they have.
Their model looks solid and you can also earn tokens by helping visually "map" these areas with a mobile phone. When you do the work to map a spot, you then own the map NFT, which is fair.
A major downside is that it's built on Ethereum. But they are moving most of their operations to Polygon, which should dramatically lower the fees and potentially improve transaction speed. Another downside is that they KYC.
Land is still pretty cheap and available. Show Less
