Polygon, formerly known as Matic Network, was established in 2017 by 3 Indian founders: Jaynti Kanani, Sandeep Nailwal, and Anurag Arjun. The trio aimed to address the scalability issues that Ethereum was facing at the time. All three founders possess extensive backgrounds in the technology and finance industries (e.g. Sandeep previously worked at Deloitte and Welspun Group before launching his startup(not Matic)).

In early 2021, the Matic team underwent a rebranding exercise and became known as Polygon. They also introduced a 4th founder to the team after this name change, Mihalio Bjelic (just look at some of his interviews to see how he is passionate about blockchain technology) All 4 co-founders are software engineers, so they undoubtedly know what they are doing from a technology perspective.

And even despite being forced to let go of 20% of their employees due to macroeconomic challenges (an issue faced by even top-tier tech giants like Meta/Google), Polygon remains a highly respected team in the entire Web3 space. Show Less
