I briefly looked into Pyrin because a friend mentioned it as a better alternative too Kaspa, which I really like. The attached screenshot shows the apparent advantages of Pyrin over Kaspa. However, after brief research, I have a lot of issues with Pyrin, mainly because of their team.
At first glance Pyrin doesn't look good to me at all. I can't find any information about their team. They don't have a YT channel and I can't find any AMAs with any of their team. They link to linkedin on their main page, but there's no team members listed there either. The "experience" section makes it look like "Pyrin" is an actual person that went to the "blockhain university" and is "self employed" (see screenshot)
Only 1 out of three whitepapers is actually published in their whitepaper section. The smart contract paper isn't clickable, looks like it's not out yet. The main whitepaper doesn't mention any names, just "Pyrin labs".
The attached video is what convinced me about Kaspa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v5h3PK04JQ&ab_channel=Kaspa
It's the founder explaining his groundbreaking technology in quite understandable terms. The person itself instills a lot of confidence imo.
To me, the team is super important. Kaspa has a great founding team that's very public and has been mentioned by the ETH and Cosmos Whitepapers as a development goal.
I can't find any infos on Pyrin's team.
That makes a huge difference for me. Show Less
