Steem is an active community that's similar to Reddit, but with one major benefit...you can earn crypto for your posts.
The content on Steem is actually pretty good and the site is active. It's much more useful than Reddit. One complaint that I have with the content is that you can see content from different languages by default, so you'll get a bunch of stuff that you can't even read.
There is inflation baked into to cake at the rate of 9.5% per year. However, this is reduced by about 0.5% per year, until it hits 0.95% per year. I guess that's reasonable.
My biggest gripe about this project is that they are associated with projects like DTube, which went down recently.
If the Steem community remains vibrant, the value of the token should go up in the future. But it will be a long wait. Show Less
