There is a saying in marketing… Sell the Sizzle not the Steak.

I think Sizzle does a good job of this.

There is not much of a proof of concept built yet, and the website is rather barebones, but at this stage of the product cycle that is not uncommon so I will not count that against them.

The two co-founders seem to have a complementary blend of experience that can likely make this project happen of they were to get funding. Being a female run company may even open some diversity funding door for them.

The pitch deck is very dense and seems to cover what they want to accomplish which is a transformation of how filmmakers, musicians, authors or game producers fund their projects. While at the same time providing a way for everyday fanboys or fangirls to contribute to these projects and hopefully benefit financially. I do not know the industry and the cannot judge the magnitude of the problems they are trying to solve, but they seem to have well thought out solutions to problems they suggest exist.

They have a solid definition of how they will make revenue through multiple streams which seem to monetize from all sides… They will make money from the artist, fans, and off the general site traffic.

Once again for a project at this stage (concept only) they seem to spell out what they want to do and how they will do and make money along the way, so this is solid 3 stars. Show Less
