XRP

$XRP

XRP presents a mixed perspective for me. On one hand, it is one of the oldest cryptocurrencies that has stood the test of time with strong fundamentals and a dedicated, cult like community supporting the project. Its popularity as a payment method, evident from its adoption by numerous high-profile financial institutions through RippleNet, should also not be understated.

However the centralized nature of XRP raises concerns. The ability of its parent company, Ripple, to sell up to 1 billion XRP tokens to the market each month, combined with the ongoing lawsuit with the SEC regarding its classification as a security, introduces a significant level of uncertainty. As an investor, I prefer to minimize uncertainty and unpredictability, as these factors can increase risks drastically.

Unfortunately I cannot exercise control over these uncertainties with XRP, making it a gamble in my eyes that I am not willing to take. However, if Ripple successfully resolves the lawsuit with the SEC (which I believe is likely to happen eventually), it would help alleviate some of the uncertainty surrounding XRP. This could potentially make it a more favourable investment option, particularly considering its potential to become the native digital token for the entire global banking system as its community continually point out.
