Edit: I've changed my rating from 2 to 3 stars after D3Young's comment, linking to a video of their prototype. The fact that they even have something that looks like a prototype and I found out that they were incorporating in Norway through an early Telegram announcement gives this project slightly more credibility than a guaranteed scam. However, I'm not changing my mind yet on the rest of my arguments.

I like the idea of an alternative network to traditional Internet Service Providers, but I think that this project is either not serious or still in the very early idea phase. The whitepaper is the only doc that has some specifics of what they're doing, but it feels very high level and very conceptual. Everything they talk about is still "in development". The whitepaper uses tons of jargon, making it very hard to tell if there's anything of substance in there. It feels like there's something there about making rewards for TOR relays secure and technically feasible, but it it's very hard to tell without doing days of research. You'd need an expert in this field to tell you if this is a first year student coming up with an idea on a drunk night out or if there is a significant technical innovation there. My bet is 95% that this is not significant.

Even if it was significant, the project would still face tons of hurdles to succeed, as seen from other project that are attempting to build alternative ISP networks. Adoption is very difficult and you need wide network coverage for people to really jump on (as far as I understand).

I'm happy to change my mind if an expert in this field reads the whitepaper and tells me that there is significant innovation, or if the project publishes more accessible technical explanations. Show Less
