BitTensor's aim of building a mining network via machine learning models and rewarding participants for contributing to machine learning, via complexities and ranking information production (i.e rewards are paid based on how much the machine learning model fulfils the objectives set), and the blockchain layer communicates directly with the AI layer to build a consensus mechanism.
For a pretty technical project, BitTensor's UX UI experience on their website isn't the best, and it is quite hard to get around the intricacies of the project on their 'build' link. There is also nothing much that simplifies the project that I can read at a glance as an 'interested investor'. This might put off casual retail investors, as they would not be able to see any high level summary to capture interest. As we all know, the best way to capture retail interest is to have concise and comprehensive information that spurs their interest to read up more about the project. Nothing about the team or project socials either.
Unfortunately, I do see some challenges for them - with more and more AI models being open-sourced, the project easily faces stiff competition with the recently launched Llama 2. Show Less
