#Buy?

One of the biggest questions within the crypto community and noobs always ask me is which should I buy ETH or BTC?

We can all agree both Bitcoin and Ethereum have proven their value and have the potential to deliver returns over the long term.

BTC is for sure is much more the decentralized coin and due to its set in stone tokenomics, we will always know what to expect from BTC until the end of time. ETH on the other hand has changed its economic model from an inflationary supply from its inception to now, by implementing the EIP-1559 protocol, a deflationary model thanks to its burn rate.

However using this information and being a technical trader, one chart I believe has truly revealed the answer for which was the better buy over the last 3 years, if you are basing the term ‘better buy’ on monetary gains.

That chart is ETHBTC.

You can clearly see ETH has been the stronger out of BTC and ETH over this last couple of years producing higher returns than BTC. My opinion is that since the news of ETH moving over to a deflationary model, the market reacted and liked this in a very positive way as we can see in the huge run up ETHBTC had prior to the EIP-1559 protocol implementation on the 5th August 2021. Since then ETHBTC has been ranging for nearly 2 years, but I foresee this chart to continue with its strength and produce higher returns compared to BTC throughout the next bull run due to Ethereum’s network effect and deflationary model making it a more attractive investment asset to investors now.
