Just one week after launching its EVM, the IOTA Foundation ($IOTA) announced today that Pyth Network has deployed its oracle services on IOTA EVM. As a leading oracle service provider, Pyth will be the primary decentralized data stream for IOTA, followed shortly by Supra which will launch later this year.
Oracles play a crucial role in getting trusted real-world data “from the outside” on-chain, making them ready for use in smart contracts.
Accurate, reliable, and secure data feeds are a necessity for every DeFi protocol. Pyth currently provides this service for more than 500 assets, making it a great solution for projects and innovators and reflecting the hype that surrounded its airdrop and token distribution launch.
