Changes to IOTA Leadership

Much has been moving and progressing in the $IOTA project, and since the launch of their IOTA EVM we’ve seen a great deal of announcements and technology partnerships being made. This is all really great stuff from a once super promising project - that has pretty much been next to flatlined throughout the entire pandemic era - as it has risen like a Phoenix coming into Q2 of 2024.

More welcome announcements to share about the project here as they have shaken up the leadership structure of the IOTA Foundation, with significant developments that mark a new phase for the organization.

Here are the headlines:

  • Dr. Navin Ramachandran joins the IOTA Supervisory Board
  • Dr. Anja Raden, Jan Misselwitz and Luca Moser join the Board of Directors
  • Dr. Christoph Strnadl will head the new Technology Adoption department.

On the surface, the timing of the overall project’s cadence is actually quite welcome as it means that the IOTA didn’t feed on the whole pre-FTX valuation frenzy; something that many, many projects have had to face as the tide went out and left their bits exposed to the bear naked wind. Maybe not so with IOTA, as they look to face fiercer competition with the likes of Kaspa and other notable and well-funded directed acyclic graphs (DAG) infrastructures rise to the forefront of innovation and interoperability.
