As I mentioned in my previous post, the Iron Fish blockchain uses a unique consensus mechanism called Proof of Distance (PoD), which is designed to be more energy-efficient than traditional proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanisms while still providing robust security. The PoD consensus mechanism involves measuring the distance between nodes in the network, which is intended to reduce the amount of computational power required to maintain the network.
Another key feature of the Iron Fish blockchain is its focus on privacy. The blockchain uses zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) to enable private transactions, which means that transaction details and account balances are kept confidential.
