Animoca Brands’ Mocaverse, MOCA Foundation, and TON Foundation announce strategic partnership

The partnership aims to drive adoption of a joint reputation layer for cross-pollination and engagement across both ecosystems.

900M + 700M = 1.6 Billion+ Addressable Users

“Animoca Brands’ Mocaverse today announced a strategic partnership with MOCA Foundation and The Open Network ($TON) Foundation to implement an identity and reputation-based consumer network across Moca Network and TON Blockchain ecosystems.”

The MOCA Foundation and TON Foundation have executed a strategic foundation-level token swap agreement of MOCA Coin ($MOCA) priced at US$0.113 ($1B FDV) and Toncoin ($TON).

“MOCA Coin ($MOCA) and Toncoin ($TON), valued at a combined total of USD$20 million, will be used exclusively to incentivize developers’ and users’ adoption of both ecosystems, including joint airdrops via TON’s The Open League and Moca Network's PointFi platform.”

Go-to-market strategy execution is to include the use and integration of Moca IDs on the TON Blockchain, across the TON ecosystem in the TON Society ID framework. Both Moca ID, which is Mocaverse’s decentralized identification (DID), and TON Society ID will be utilized to enhance interoperability and support user growth.

The two foundations’ partnership will see the integration of the Realm Network, Mocaverse’s flagship interoperable SDK product, and the Telegram Mini App Platform. The Realm Network SDK will join into TON Blockchain to “serve as the central reputation source and onboard, attest, and query data across different TON ecosystem apps.”

Co-branded hackathons and an accelerator will also be launched by Mocaverse and the two foundations to reach and empower the most talented developers across both ecosystems and TON Blockchain.
Moca Network and Animoca Brands’ ecosystem of more than 450 portfolio companies will provide the consumer layer of content focused on culture and entertainment to the TON ecosystem, the official Web3 infrastructure of Telegram Messenger, which has over 900 million active users.
 
With Moca Network’s 700m+ addressable users, this strategic partnership will provision each ecosystem a collective addressable user base of 1.6B+ users!

The decentralization of tokens distribution is crucial for the tokenomics. Unfortunately, TON lacks this aspect as a significant portion of the tokens in the ETH and BSC network are held by the top 100 holders, with over 90% in the ETH network and over 66% in the BSC network.

TON is a blockchain developed by the Telegram application team led by Pavel Durov. Despite its advanced features, such as its own programming language, numerous blockchain applications, virtual machine and etc. My attitude to the project is quite skeptical because of its history. In 2017-2018, Telegram raised $1.7 billion from family offices and venture capitalists under the promise of a public ICO where they could dump on retail. They just never did that and kept the money.  The SEC eventually forced them to return the funds, minus what had already been spent by then. And they made a fake shitcoin TON which Durov now forces. Maybe cool use cases there, but centralized unknown premine scam that is, TON. The launch of a stablecoin within the Telegram application using TON may also result in it being banned from various stores. He is probably already walking a thin line by selling handles via TON auctions.
