From the perspective of tokeneconomics, technology and team, the Truebit protocol appears to posses the attributes that investors would want when they are looking for a long term token to invest in.

However, there are two big questions for me that cast doubts in my mind that the project may not live up to its potential.

  • Firstly, does the Truebit team possess the necessary business acumen to drive mainstream adoption of the token among organisations and other crypto companies for which it was developed?
  • Secondly, why does the project team remain relatively quiet and inconsistent with their updates compared to other projects in the space, particularly given the project's ongoing existence since 2017.

It is worth noting that three of the original 'Ethereum Godfathers' - Vitalik Buterin, Gavin Woods and Charles Hoskinson - have each gone on to create their own successful tokens. Given that the Truebit team comprises of two additional 'Ethereum Godfathers' (Jason Teutsch & Christian Reitwiessner), it is reasonable to assume that this project has the potential and capability to achieve similar success levels to DOT and ADA over time as long as the team's business capabilities and communication efforts do not impact the protocol's full potential.
