Zoom out… Look at the forest, not just the trees.
As an analyst, we often get caught up in examining the “trees,” such as the team, the tokenomics, if the token is a good buy, etc., and we forget to zoom out and look at the “forest.”
What do I mean by the “forest” in this case?
Well, here are a few examples:
- Is the product needed by the market? Big Yes here.
- Does the product fill that need? Big Yes here.
- Does the product work? Big Yes here.
- Is the product easy to use? Big Yes here.
I’m a big fan of real-world utility (something lacking in most projects), and using NFTs to implement gating and membership access is a perfect use case for NFTs (IMO, the opposite of worthless memes.)
They support numerous blockchains, and with collaboration with 3rd party apps like Guild.xyz you can easily build a gated Telegram or Discord channel. There are many other options available as well.
I realize the tokenomics are not great, and there are some concerns with the team or the marketing, but at the end of the day, I may never buy this token, but I would likely use the product. The product is great and fills a serious need in the market. I hope they can continue to build and grow.
FYI, even if the project does not survive…
If you make an NFT membership for your private Telegram group, this builds and deploys a smart contract that will live forever on the blockchain and can work for you indefinitely (depending on your settings ie. No Max Mints).
