The primary objective of this review, concerning zkSync, is to describe the correlation between network activity and the potential distribution of a future token(retrodrop).

At first glance, deposit and on-chain activity on the network has been exceedingly high since the main net zkSync Era's launch, a mere two weeks ago. Every day, new and existing projects are deploying their contracts on the new network. At this stage, it's important to observe the growth of daily users and transactions and distinguish real activity from fake activity, which is carried out by farms of multiple accounts (Here, an analogy can be drawn to the activity on the Optimism network, which was mostly demonstrated by multi-accounts at that moment, and the real activity on Arbitrum, where large projects like GMX, Gains, Dopex, and others developed).

At the moment(08.04.23), a smart strategy for interacting with the network would be:

  • Using the official bridge
  • Exchanging tokens on various DEXes https://defillama.com/chain/zkSync%20Era
  • Providing liquidity
  • If you used an early version of zkSync Lite, this could serve as an additional advantage in the future for receiving tokens.

Not financial advice, do your own research before interacting with any protocol

It's crucial to acknowledge that this is a long-term game, and the project may declare its decentralization(=token) in six months to a year. Explore new interesting protocols emerging on the network and monitor network activity metrics on Dune. Not only does this present an opportunity to explore innovative protocols built on top of the revolutionary ZK tech, but it also provides the chance to benefit from utilizing a potential new leader in the L2 wars.

Highly recommended to monitor on-chain activity in the future to determine if the network was able to attract real liquidity and distinguish fake activity from the original one. Show Less
