A privacy project on Ethereum makes zero sense.

If you want privacy, then Ethereum is not the place to build a project. Since it's a public blockchain, at least some account and transaction information will become public. Even if the details of transactions are shielded by zero-knowledge proofs, purchasing of the tokens and the gas fees will always leak information. So if there is only partial privacy, then transactions are not really private.

On top of that, Ethereum is one of the most centralized projects out there. Of particular interest is the talk around transaction censorship.

It looks like it's only a matter of time before some sort of censorship mechanism gets implemented into Ethereum. If that happens, then guess which transactions get censored first. Yup, the "private" ones.

My final reason for giving this project 1 star is because it is a layer 2 solution. I feel that Ethereum is deeply flawed on many levels and regardless of how good zkSync is, it will always be susceptible to the shortcomings of Ethereum. In my opinion, if you're going to do a privacy project, it has to be L1 and 100% private. Show Less
