Yet another failed attempt at creating a Metaverse project?

Let's look at some highlights :
Ethereum Towers is a vertical metaverse with 4388 apartments across 2 towers. Use cases include creating an NFT art gallery/virtual museum, hosting events and meetings, creating public events space, etc.
The NFT floor price has dropped considerably since the time of launch.
Very few active bids/trades as per OpenSea, most bids are way below the floor price.
Native token $TWR price has dropped to all-time low.
The platform has not hosted any events on the Metaverse in the recent past, implying low use-case adoption.
Tokenomics is not clear as per Whitepaper.
Discord does not have any active engagement. 36 subscribers on Telegram. Twitter has decent followers but low recent engagement.
Team details are not available on the website.
Project roadmap not clear. As per Whitepaper, they were expecting to have big updates in 2023, but nothing significant so far.

Looks like another Metaverse project that was launched during the 2021 hype but has not been able to live up to its expectations both from an investment and product development lens. I'm giving this project 1/5 stars.

Ethereum Towers has beautiful architecture however these are digital building, and the metaverse died in early 2023 then is the timing right for this?.

Good: photorealistic graphics instead of highly pixelated look of Sandbox, Decentraland. However, would people really want to spend 5 hours a day in their digital apartment? I suspect there might be a pump early on and fail to generate sustain traffic day over day. There is a reason SocialFi is one of the best attention grabbing activity, its low tech, and low friction. Asking people to do it within a 3d environment is adding friction and cannot be done on low cost hardware with small screen like a mobile phone. I like the philosophy, but there is no real need for a metaverse, although it's visually appealing.

If the price is ~$5 for an apartment, I'd consider it

Owning your own apartment in the Metaverse and having a space to decorate  and throw parties sounds really amazing. This is what Ethereum Towers had set out to achieve. So what happened?

I heard about this project in 2022 and at that time there was quite a buzz about it. So much so that the first tower sold out quite quickly from what I remember and people were talking about how they were going to kit out their spaces and create social networks.

Fast forward a year and there seems to be less of a buzz (probably because a lot of us from 2021 bought a few different spaces in the 'metaverse' and have nothing to show for it now). There is also not much evidence of apartments being furnished (apart from a few rough videos on X) and it doesn't seem like many social events are happening.

It feels like ET are looking to reinvigorate themselves by attempting to get people excited about buying space in Tower 2. Minting is currently happening at 0.09 ETH. However, you could actually grab a cheaper bargain on a space in Tower 1 on Opensea which current has a 0.059 FP. Paying the higher amount puts you in a lottery to perhaps get a luxury apt (you have a 5% chance). But is it worth it?

I see several positives in the innovation, marked by a unique approach. A community-centric mindset is also evident, alongside a wide range of diverse activities.

However, there are challenges, including market competition within the Metaverse. The issue of user adoption emerges as not everyone possesses the necessary VR equipment or financial resources to acquire it. Lastly, the task of building and maintaining a community for such a project, presents its own set of challenges.

What is TWR?
Ethereum Towers is a Metaverse that aims to provide a comprehensive virtual experience for users. From online shopping to full virtual experiences, technology is driving the usage of VR and AR equipment. The focus is on creating a central "Community Hub" to cater to individuals interested in networking and establishing an online presence. The towers aim to be a hub for work, collaboration, relaxation, and socialization, designed with unique features like a helix design and a "sky-well" for community gatherings. The project offers three types of apartments: Standard, Luxury, and Penthouse, which users can own as NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. They create this on the Unity game engine.

If you love the Sims or interior design then yes this would seem like this is the right project for you to get stuck in to right away.
