In late 2020, when API3 emerged on the scene with ambitious claims, branding itself as the 'Chainlink Killer.' I was on their hook straight away and thankfully made a lot of bank from it.

I really liked that the project aimed to redefine the famous oracle problem by proposing a solution to alter the way dApps can access real world data feeds.

While the theoretical premise of API3 appeared revolutionary and promising for accelerating the space, since then I actually haven’t heard much from the project, it as all been a bit subdued, which I think the price of its token has reflected. Despite the initial enthusiasm and the bold 'Chainlink Killer' label, API3 has seemingly faded from the spotlight, with not many noteworthy developments.

In contrast, Chainlink has continued to make significant strides, solidifying its position as a leading oracle solution provider in the space. The stark contrast in the trajectories of API3 & Chainlink raises questions about API3's ability to live up to its initial claims and compete effectively.

While API3's theoretical framework proposes a groundbreaking shift in oracle technology, the lack of visible progress and the overshadowing success of Chainlink in the market suggest that API3 may have fallen short of the ambitious expectations set forth in its early days. Maybe something big is still brewing and this project will have its day again, but right now that remains to be seen. Show Less
