Move aside rollups, it's time for RollApps! Dymension provides scaling options that completely unlocks Cosmos's potential via opening up vertical scaling - and allowing for rollups to be deployed on top of existing applications. Instead of creating a Internet of Blockchains, Dymension is aiming to create an Internet of Rollups instead.
Dymension essentially acts as a rollup for rollups (hence RollApps), that reduces network traffic, strongly increasing the speed and effectiveness of the base L1 blockchain and provides accomnodation of a bigger volume of transactions without compromising security, while lowering costs to handle transactions.
The key factor with Dymension is that they have a RollApp Development Kit (RDK) that greatly simplifies the process of deploying a RollApp on top of their base PoS chain (called Dymension Hub).
The RollApps are EVM compatible, and allows for smart contracts written in Solidity to be executed in the Cosmos environment.
There are currently two rollapps available with total TVL of 69M $DYM (they are currently still in TestNet), but only one is currently operational - the EVM being down. Show Less
