Following up on Blueseriph’s September 2023 review.
I was one of those left holding the bag as I rode FTM up in DeFi summer and rode it all the way down after the Luna crash. What I wasn’t expecting was EVEN MORE FUD during the crypto winter. In retrospect, the initial hype outpaced what seemed to be a promising project and ecosystem. I’ve staked my heavy bags and almost forgot about it as it lost 90% of its ATH value.
Last month, Fantom Sonic’s EVM-compatible testnet came on my radar. I decided to give its bold claim of 4000 TPS a run. And WOW. I know this is just a test network but the swaps were ultra-smooth; felt like a slightly faster Solana transaction, which is incredibly hard to come by.
All token price aside, I’ll be keeping my eye on Fantom again as L1s addressing scaling issues becomes part of the next bull run narrative. Show Less
