I just read their roadmap for 2023, released in December 2022 and updated 2 days ago in May 02 2023, and the end result is me lacking any trust. In terms of business/marketing, they don't have any details on how they plan to promote this project to the community - even though they are in serial A stage. Usually at this point startups focus on expanding the number of users but according to their report their daily active users for an 8+ mUSD 5 year project are only in the hundreds with millions USD in volume - which is about what you'd expect from a small derivative community in telegram.
In terms of technology, their original idea was a simple market making bot with support for a few exchanges, but now they're trying to evolve into an extensible software framework that would allow users to build and execute powerful cross-venue algorithmic trading strategies. So what about their roadmap?
- The first point was to expand functionality of top exchange connectors, but no progress has been made and shall proceed in June but I cannot find any assignees for this task via Github.
- They did manage to finish separating their DEX connector module Gateway into its own dedicated repository though, and that should improve maintainability.
- They then wanted to expand their Scripts framework by adding support for Directional framework, enabling Scripts to work with Gateway, OHLC Generator and Indicators - but there's been no progress here either.
- Last point was supporting external modules like Orchestration which should simplify the management of multiple trading bots and strategies, completed by community members rather than themselves???
And when we look at GitHub's roadmap we can see that two tasks - "Add candles feed source for Silver exchanges" and "Improve Gateway UX and amm-arb strategy" were supposed to start on 1 May 2023 but up until now (4 May) there's been no progress. So that's why I don't trust them, despite receiving a lot of money there doesn't seem to be any dedicated team working on it.
