One of the founders of HyperCycle is Dr. Ben Goertzel. This is the man who helped popularise the term 'artificial general intelligence'. He is also a cognitive scientist and founder of SingularityNET as well as leader of the OpenCog Foundation, and the AGI Society, and chair of Humanity+.
Ben, along with Toufi Saliba, Benn Tolover and seven other core team members (some of whom are math and data scientists) are on a mission to create a blockchain on which AI systems can work with each other at the smallest modular level in a decentralized way.
The team introduced the term “Layer 0++” to capture the unique design of HyperCycle, which spans multiple layers and allows HyperCycle to extend the usability of other blockchains rather than compete with them.
