'Learn to earn' games can often require a substantial upfront investment. There may be virtual land, weapons, skins, or cards in the form of NFTs that need to be purchased before you can interact in the game. As Web3 gaming gains in popularity and gets more sophisticated, selling NFTs and upgrades can be a great revenue stream for projects, so we will most likely see increases in prices in these areas in the future.
For people who don't have the upfront funds or who only want to use a weapon in a part of a game for a short period of time, one solution would be to not buy the NFT, but to rent it.
That's where IQ Protocol comes in - offering a collateral-less NFT rental platform. While this is a newer project on the market, the concept is not new. I remember investing in a project at IDO called Vera in late 2021 which does essentially what IQ Protocol does, but is currently 99.79% down from its ATH, never having taken off, even when the NFT narrative was big and despite marketing still happening.
While I think the concept is good, I don't think enough people are looking for something like this now. This could change in the future when more games come onto the market. Show Less
