Even with a list over 500 employees on Linkedin it was tricky to find members of the core leadership team aside from the CEO and CMO. I would like to have assessed the CTO to do a full proper analysis of the team, so if anyone can hunt them down please let me know and I will update.
First up is John Chen – CEO – who is clearly a very smart man, he has a diverse background in technology, entrepreneurship, and the fintech industry in various leadership roles. However even though he has been in fintech in the past I can’t see experience/expertise in the crypto world. Being a CEO of a crypto exchange requires a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency market, blockchain technology, regulatory compliance and the ability to manage and secure large volumes of digital assets. John may have all these things in his locker but in his past experience this is not visible, which I see as a bit of red flag for the CEO of a big exchange at first glance. Aside from this he definitely has the skills to lead and grow a team, which done great with so far at MEXC.
Alison Liu – CMO - has extensive experience in digital marketing, particularly in the crypto world. He has held key positions in reputable companies such as Huobi Singapore and the WOLOT Foundation where he has demonstrated notable marketing successes. During his at as CMO at MEXC Global, he has successfully developed and expanded overseas marketing channels, produced engaging content on various platforms, and secured media coverage from mainstream and blockchain-specific outlets. Alison is very much a man who understands the crypto industry well and he has an ability to devise innovative marketing strategies and drive brand recognition, these valuable assets in promoting have clearly helped MEXC excel and become much more known as an credible crypto exchange throughout the globe.
Overall the team from the people I can see consists of highly skilled and seasoned individuals (even if the CEO does not have much prior crypto work experience prior to this project), what he has done is set an excellent example of leadership since the inception of this exchange. His efforts have resulted in a workforce of over 500 employees. It is my hope that the team can sustain this level of performance as the exchange continues to expand and scale. Show Less
