Worldcoin is a protocol designed to develop personal identity products. It leverages the Orb to scan a user's retina and utilizes the Proof of Personhood mechanism to verify their identity and securely store the data on the blockchain. Worldcoin aims to address the following challenges:

Uniqueness: The human eyeball possesses inherent uniqueness, making it impossible to duplicate. Therefore, using retinal images helps prevent data errors for users. Fraud Resistance: Eyeballs cannot be replicated, enhancing the security and resistance against fraudulent activities. Practicality: The continuous advancement of imaging technology and its accessibility contribute to the practicality of implementing retinal scanning.

However, there is concern that remains. Users may encounter issues with their eyes, such as unexpected accidents, glaucoma diseases, or vision surgery, which can impact their eyeballs and consequently affect their private keys. As a result, users may be unable to log in to their wallets or utilize their assets stored within.
