Rumors are spreading that DOP vanished with $164M that has been raised from its never ending private sale. If true, this will be a whopper of a case where everything seemed to be presented properly, yet the end result would still leave us all in question…

Is it possible that the DOP raise becomes the second largest carefully executed rug in crypto?

My purpose here is not to spread FUD or disinformation about what was a seemingly strong project — it is more important to share both sides of the story as it unfolds, doing my best to verify all the facts presented.

One thing however, is clear and significant: the project has sustained damage to its reputation and lost the widespread trust of its community. This, in any crypto project no matter how large or small - is a death sentence. We’ve seen it turn visionaries into criminals overnight, and set off cascading spirals of runs and withdrawals - well before any real confirmation or law enforcement arrives. So before that can happen, I encourage everyone who has made an investment to protect it by sharing their facts and experiences over social media asap!

On the plus side, the team is doxxed and has made appearances at multiple Binance events, on top of securing countless partnerships with credible partners including being audited by Hacken. One team member has come out to confirm that they have not vanished, and will be present IRL while sponsoring both Korea Blockchain Week and Token2049.

On the flip side, here are some key facts that have been fueling the fire:

• While dop_org has over 1M followers, each individual team member @Kohji_Crypto, @Ikarta4, @Matan_Al, @Tiffany_Ben1, and @Hila_maharshak has about 1K each and only reposts content. DOP has no CEO.
• Lots of transactions worth millions being sent in different wallet address by dev as per information shown on Arkham Intelligence
• Users who participated in the private sale are voicing that they have been unable to claim their tokens, citing problems with KYC and unreachable support
• 2 telegram admin accounts got deleted, and the team in general have not been responsive to community inquiries and concerns

DOP claimed to list in Q1, which didn’t happen; then they claimed to do it in Q2, which didn’t happen again and now a cryptic tweet from the official account giving only the date “04.07.24”

DOP has been a high profile project, which naturally incurs both a lot of scam impersonations and phishing accounts. It then becomes quite difficult to distinguish between what’s real news and what’s not.
