I'll start off by saying I'm giving 4 stars to the team because I am impressed by their credentials but I can't quite give 5 stars because of their relatively short time in the Web3 space and the fact team isn't doxxed in the whitepaper so I had to do a bit of digging on them. I can, however, certainly see evidence of their potential in the space and think their collective talents can lead to really big things for this project.

According to LinkedIn there are 34 employees working for HighStreet, with the majority living in Canada and the US. Their confirmed backgrounds are predominantly in the arts and design, business development and engineering fields.

Travis Wu is one of the co-founders. He has been at the company for around 2.5 years. Prior to that, he co-founded lumiereVR in 2015, a company which strives to bring Virtual Reality to everyday life. Projects built by lumiereVR have created VR cinemas that can be seen in aquariums, museums, and major sports arenas across America. Their art installations can also be found in shopping malls and galleries in China.

The other co-founder is Jenny Guo. She has been working at HighStreet for 2.5 years and was also the Co-founder of lumiereVR where she worked for nearly 8 years.

Artur Henrique Costa Pinto is the Lead Game Designer. He's been designing games since 2011 and is currently the Co-Director and Creator of Chef Jack (2023, Sony Pictures). He was also previously a screenwriter and game writer for 5.5 years at Ciclus - Conteúdo em Vídeo, a marketing company specialising in creating video content for online platforms.

Felipe Oliveira is a Senior Game Designer, Narrative Designer and Writer who has been working in the field since 2017.

I really can't overlook the expertise and experience of this team and their commitment to sticking with this project over the past few years. I'm personally not very impressed with the graphics of The Sandbox and Decentraland, and while HighStreet graphics can be a bit cartoonish, I find them more aesthetically pleasing than the former projects. I have high hopes for this project, but only time will tell if the team can attract enough interest and investors to rival the other big players and get the industry buy in, investor backing and retail users they are seeking Show Less
