Although my micro review may not have been overly positive, I do have a positive view of the Star Atlas community. To start with, this review ended up taking me more time than I had initially intended, but I must admit I had some fun exploring.

The fact that they are making a comeback and releasing impressive showcases of new ships, playable levels, and recently introducing a race feature demonstrates that there is a budget for investing in the development. This funding comes from backers who believe in the project. Surprisingly, there isn't much FUD, and the community continues to have faith in the project, much like some of the analysts on Cyrator.

Star Atlas maintains strong communication with the community through various channels. While I won't analyze all of them, I must say it's the most extensive selection I've seen in a long time. The ones I skipped are Facebook, Telegram, and Reddit, which has daily shared videos and blogs, including contributions from fans and followers.

Twitch

It's worth mentioning that they have a Twitch channel with 2.5k followers. Watching live footage of game features is always enjoyable. However, I was disappointed to find that their Twitch video section is empty. So my enthusiasm faded after a mere 5 seconds.

Twitter

They have an impressive 312.9k followers and have tweeted 6,037 times. Their latest game feature update on June 2nd already garnered 180k views. This is an amazing ratio considering the short time since release and the number of followers. Their other tweets receive an average of 25k views, which is acceptable.

Discord

As expected for a game, they have numerous channels to accommodate their 190k members. Currently, 12.5k members are online, which is a reasonable ratio. This number will likely increase when the game is fully functional. Before entering the server, you are prompted to answer three questions about your preferred language, role in the game (I chose janitor, img1), and faction. I'm not entirely sure what they do with this information, as my experience in the channel remained unchanged. Nonetheless, I hope they have a job for me as a janitor there soon.

Instagram

They have a solid following of 20k on Instagram, with 771 posts. The engagement, in terms of likes per post, is also commendable (that must stimulate their amygdala :P). But that's to be expected considering the incredible footage created using the UE5-Engine.

YouTube

They have 32.7k subscribers (+1 now) on YouTube. They have showcased their game in 34 videos, each receiving approximately 7k views. Their trailer from a year ago stands out with over a million views, which indicates its effectiveness as a promotional tool.

In conclusion, I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised. I have noticed many positive signs, which lead me to give Star Atlas a good rating. However, I would have given it 5 stars if they utilized YouTube more to engage with the community by showcasing additional footage and if they streamed more frequently on Twitch (with recorded sessions available in the video section for later viewing).
