This is one of the poorest parts to this project in my opinion. This seems to be a bit of a reoccurring theme from most projects that come from the minds of very technical people.

They originally got off to a great start with the hype surrounding their ICO in 2017 and built themselves a well sized following on Twitter and Telegram, as well as creating a lot of buzz around their project, especially with their sharding narative. However I see two big factors which have really damaged the marketing success for Ziliqa over time.

Firstly is the project’s lack of differentiation, while Ziliqa offers several unique features, is really fast and has extremely low transaction fees I do not think the project has clearly communicated the benefits of their platform well enough and how it compares to other layer 1 options which are out there in the market to drive its adoption.

Secondly despite the project having a sizable following on social media, Ziliqa is yet to really achieve any mainstream exposure which has definitely limited its ability to grow its user base. Users who are not actively engaged in the blockchain or crypto space will not be aware of Ziliqa and what it offers as a layer 1 blockchain compared to others. To get over this the project needs to remove this barrier to entry and use some marketing genius or find a catalyst to spark the sustained growth of its user base because from what I am witnessing this as been on the decline throughout the whole of the bear market and is not a promising sign for future adoption of its blockchain.
