We are no longer in 2017 when only a few billionaires jumped into this market or 2020 when a few enterprises jumped in, now many major countries are currently discussing releasing laws for cryptocurrency therefore we should anticipate that this market will go mainstream in a massive way. Consequently, scaling is extremely important for every blockchain project to handle the expected influx of users. The ability to scale effectively will determine which projects survive and thrive, attracting the mainstream adoption that will propel the next stage of cryptocurrency's evolution.

Sui's scaling approach is not focused on vertical scalings like Solana or the Internet Computer but is more similar to Ethereum 2 horizontal expansion strategy. The goal of Sui is to substantially broaden the Web3 ecosystem by providing an infrastructure with the proper incentives to allow developers to expeditiously construct and launch applications. This aims to considerably multiply the number of decentralized applications accessible to users by lowering barriers to entry for programmers.

The high scalability of SUI is built upon two key advancements:

  • MOVE programming language.
  • Narwhal-Tusk consensus algorithm. The MOVE programming language is used to develop applications in the Sui blockchain. MOVE is derived from RUST and created by Facebook's Libra project. It is designed for parallel processing.

Narhal-Tusk is the consensus algorithm in the Sui blockchain. It separates data transmission from the transaction consensus process. Thus solving the problem of Mempool - consensus in traditional blockchain designs like Ethereum and Bitcoin.

These two innovations allow the Sui blockchain network to scale horizontally, enabling it to support millions of transactions per second without requiring dedicated nodes in the network. Normal computer hardware can run the network because dedicated nodes require powerful configurations to process faster and more transactions, which means incurring high costs for hardware.

With the algorithm which is created by Facebook (now is Beta) I shall give 5 stars for the technology Show Less
