Camelot offers ‘deep, sustainable, and adaptable liquidity’. It is a unique liquidity approach based on non-fungible staked positions, and a dual token system consisting of $GRAIL and $xGRAIL tokens. I will attempt to break down its automated market making, its spNFT’s liquidity approach, and its dual token system.

Camelot's AMM is a crucial component of their ecosystem, designed to be flexible... More

#Micro Review

The project is interesting because it's new, live, popular and their token has been rising. But I'm missing a couple things for a 5 star rating.

The website has basically no information, which is forgivable because it's the same with gTrade and other DEXs. But gTrade and GMX have awesome statistics which show platform usage and growth. Camelot doesn't have it, making it hard to judge its... More

How many DEX do we need? Uniswap already support Arbitrum, what is CamelotDEX doing that is so different that it can carve out users from Uniswap to themselves?

Last 24h volume on various exchanges on Arbitrum: CamelotDEX: $9M Uniswap (Arbitrum): $96M Uniswap V3: $583M (which is based on Arbitrum if I understand correctly)

Uniswap has a $5B fully diluted market cap and $4B in... More

#On-Chain Activity

With the launch of CamelotDEX, the project has seen a massive uptake on it's TVL as well as it's metrics seeming extremely strong. As seen from DefiLlama (screenshot attached), although it has a fairly low TVL of sub $100m, it is generating similar yields compared to more known projects as follows:

Volume (24h): $15.9m vs $25.08m on Balancer V2 Fees (24h): $50k vs $42k on Sushiswap vs $70k on... More

#Community

In advance, Camelot shows good community activity overall. Discord stands out as a platform for engagement, and I appreciate the frequency of posts on Medium. The balance between different social media channels is well-maintained. Notably, their Twitter account is booming with news about partnerships and informal updates, such as burning and fee-related matters like buyback... More

#Tokenomics

Camelot's launch has been impressive, with the token gaining availability on top exchanges and experiencing a remarkable price increase of over 600% in just 3.5 months. The allocation of public sale proceeds towards liquidity, dividends, and funding for Core Contributors shows a thoughtful and balanced approach. Overall, the GRAIL allocation plan is comprehensive, covering token distribution,... More

#Idea

Camelot's primary goal is to establish itself as the native decentralized exchange (DEX) for Arbitrum. The idea is to provide the Arbitrum ecosystem with a wide range of innovative features, granting protocols a high level of flexibility and control over their liquidity. Looking at their mission this also involves effectively supporting new protocols that wish to settle on Arbitrum by equipping... More

#Team

Like my fellow analyst, I tried really hard to locate some information on the team, looking through all of the socials and documents available, but drew a blank. I found a possible candidate on LinkedIn (photo) but am unable to access this individual's profile to be sure and as I don't speak Korean, I still wouldn't really be sure.

Ultimately, as Camelot was designed to be community driven,... More

#Tokenomics

The tokenomics don't make a lot of sense from a long-term survival perspective. But it could be a really good trading opportunity.

There is a max supply of 97,494.25 $GRAIL tokens. The current supply is 27,848.52, of which, 9,612.2 is available to the public. According to their blog, 22.5% of the total supply is allocated to liquidity mining emissions. It's not clear if that 22.5% in included... More

#Micro Review

What makes GRAIL unique is its supply of 100,000. Unlike other DEXes, Camelot Exchange was not part of a presale or VC investment, and GRAIL was launched through a public sale. Users can earn GRAIL as yield rewards through incentivized staking positions, with a fair portion of the supply committed to liquidity mining for the coming years.

It is also worth noting xGRAIL, the governance token that... More

#Buy?

For traders and investors Camelot can be interesting. Their tokenomics are build for long-term, so the chance of a sudden dump is small.

They also got a good community behind it all, but it is unclear which path they choose with partnerships and they have no clear roadmap. Based on what there is I give it a 3-star rating.

#Buy?

The deflationary nature of the tokenomics for $GRAIL and $XGRAIL aim to encourage staking and involvement in the Camelot ecosystem, as well as to provide advantages to token holders which are great benefits to long term holders. However from a current TA perspective, even though buying where price is at right now ($1450) is not the dumbest idea in the world as it is big HTF support, I envision... More

#Buy?

Unfortunately I will not be looking to buy $GRAIL here, as based on TA they are currently on a downtrending market structure. They recently broke down from the support of around $1512, and has a final support at $1402. If looking strictrly at TA, I would like to see either a bounce from final support, or to go back above $1512 with a healthy bounce before looking to enter a position again. On fib... More

#Progress

It looks like $GRAIL is off to a good start. I wish that they had more information about the DEX on the website.

But it looks like a standard DEX and there is already some decent volume. They will probably add more information to the site over time.

Minus 2 stars for lack of information. But if you just want to execute some trades, it looks legit.

UPDATE: OK, I found the documents and the blog. They are hiding in the footer of the homepage. It's annoying when they do that. After reading through the docs, I still give it 3 starts. I think they are off to a good start, but a lot still needs to be proven.

#Progress

Camelot recently announced that their round table partner page came live, which allows them to showcase each partner individually (https://twitter.com/CamelotDEX/status/1655174512374337536?s=20)

I believe that this provides even more transparency for the product, as users are now able to see projects that they are affiliated/partnered with, as well as see metrics and other details about such... More

In short Camelot is a DEX built on Arbitrum with a set of customizable liquidity infrastructures, designed to provide more liquidity and composability to Arbitrum ecosystem. In addition to the DEX, Camelot also contains a Launchpad that helps projects within the Arbitrum ecosystem to conduct token public sales and raise funds.

From first glance I really like the layout out and design of the... More

#Idea

Although $GRAIL has experienced a near 60% decline from it's ATH back in March, I believe that $GRAIL is still a buying opportunity and a medium to long term hold due to it's strong fundamentals. Not only do you gain rewards by staking $GRAIL such as earning $xGRAIL, which further allows earning of fees, it also allows access to discounts on projects launching on their launchpad. CamelotDEX is... More

#Tokenomics

$GRAIL has interesting tokenomics as well as distributions. $GRAIL and $xGRAIL provides interesting tokenomics that blend well with each other, working together instead of various other dual token models that I have seen, generating real yield as well as rewards for using CamelotDEX and holding on to the spot for Arbitrum's #1 DEX for now.

The primary token, $GRAIL, has a low maximum supply of... More

#Community

CamelotDEX has an extremely strong community, calling themselves "Knights" whose mission is to find the "Holy Grail". Projects that have partnerships with Camelot also "join the Round Table", which keeps the community engaged and pay attention to new projects joining the community.
